We awoke to sounds coming from the front of our house at 1.49am. My wife contacted 10111 and told them we thought someone was trying to gain access into our house.
Within eight minutes of hearing the noise, we had over 10 police officers at our front gate. The officers came in and checked our front yard, backyard and house, and scoured the nearby area checking whether there were criminals around. Only once they had covered the area around our house did they say there were no criminals there.
We were also given the number of the vehicle that patrols our area.
It gives my family and I great comfort that we have such dedicated and professional police officers serving our area.
We really appreciate everything that was done and will sleep so much better knowing that we have Cleveland SAPS looking after us.
