EDITOR – Further to the article which appeared in the Bedfordview and Edenvale News, regarding an African gentleman carrying a child in the area around Greenstone.
I would like to report that I saw him again on Sunday, August 17, at around 11.30am.
He was in Aitken Road going towards First Avenue and was asking for a lift, while carrying the child over his shoulder.
Unfortunately I did not have telephone numbers on hand to phone.
I have previously stopped, given him a lift down First Avenue to Linksfield Road and also gave him R100 to buy food for the child.
It was shortly after this that your newspaper published the article about this man.
