EDITOR – Your May 24 issue of the Bedfordview and Edenvale News contained a disturbing article about a mother dog and her three pups abandoned near the Sebenza dump site.
This happens all too often, as well as with human babies.
Fortunately in the latter case, some places of safety have a receptacle where unwanted babies can be left anonymously.
Once placed in this niche, a bell rings and the people on duty can retrieve the baby immediately.
Can this not also be done in the case of unwanted animals?
Surely some businesses would be willing to sponsor the necessary facilities at animal welfare places of safety?
