EDITOR – In mid-January, I was attacked by two men at my home.
I opened my security gate and as I did the men grabbed me and threw me onto the grass.
They stuffed a sock in my mouth and pulled me by my legs over a pavement, up a step and into my house where my hands and feet were bound.
While inside I heard my domestic worker screaming, she was tied up and had been severely beaten for about an hour.
I swore at them in Zulu and told them to get the hell out of my house.
The two men left my home after taking some of my domestic worker’s and my valuables.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the officers from Edenvale SAPS.
After we untied ourselves we called the police who arrived in several vehicles not five seconds later with a member of the forensics team.
I want to give a huge thank you to the police for their brilliant assistance during my time of need.
