Edenvale Football Club’s junior teams reach cup finals
The U7 and 8 Prem teams from Edenvale Football Club have secured their place in the finals for the Eastern Cup Challenge.
Edenvale Football Club (EFC) is celebrating a remarkable achievement as the club’s U7 and U8 premier teams have secured their spots in the finals of the Eastern Cup Challenge.
In a thrilling semifinal showdown held on September 2, the U7 squad showcased their remarkable skills, facing off against Benoni Northerns. The match was nothing short of spectacular, requiring extra time to determine the victor.
When the final whistle blew, Edenvale emerged victorious with a resounding 3-1 score line. The match took place in Benoni.
The U8 team played at home against Olympia. The young stars didn’t disappoint, delivering a splendid performance that resulted in a convincing 3-0 victory.
The finals will take place on September 17.
EFC’s Diane Koen and Tony Dias expressed the collective joy, saying, “We are over the moon, this is good, especially for the players and the parents are happy as well. What we need is support from the community, we urge them to support the clubhouse and visit us from time to time.
“Come look at our fields, and support our youngsters on game days.”
