Assumption Convent learner represents Gauteng Aquatics at nationals

She has been selected to represent Central Gauteng Aquatics at the SA Open water nationals.

Assumption Convent School learner Cassidy Sinclair made a splash at the recent Midmar Mile.

She secured ninth place among 979 swimmers, including the top open-water swimmers.

This was her third time appearing at the Midmar Mile. Her time was 22.14.

She started her open water season by qualifying at the Munyaka Estate and Prime View Dam. It culminated with Central Gauteng Aquatics open water championships at Prime View where Sinclair placed third in the 1.5km event.

She was selected to represent Central Gauteng Aquatics at the SA Open Water nationals in Jeffreys Bay from March 7 to 9 where she competed in the 1.5km and 3km events.
