Youth basketball players sharpen skills at BSI’s first training camp

BSI’s inaugural basketball camp brought together young athletes for three days of elite coaching, physical testing, and inspiration.

BSI recently hosted its inaugural basketball camp, welcoming boys and girls aged 12 to 17.

The three-day training camp offered a comprehensive showcase of the on-court training and sports science methods used in BSI’s full-time basketball programme, designed to help individuals elevate their game to the next level.

“Coach Andile Hlophe took the campers through three days of high-quality drills and skills-based coaching, while our sports scientist, Julian Russ, conducted a series of physical tests with the support of Courtney Foster, sports promotional officer for the Gauteng Department of Sports, Johannesburg District,” said BSI’s Roger King.

“One parent shared their appreciation, saying: “Thank you, Balderstone. My son can’t stop talking about this camp!”
