Sarens Marathon to take over Edenvale

All registered club runners must run in their club colours with their 2014 licence number displayed on the front and back.

Runners are gearing up for the 2014 edition of the Sarens Edenvale Marathon.

This year is the 20th time the Edenvale Rand Road Warriors will host the race which will take place on March 9.

There will be a 42.2 kilometre marathon, a 21.1 kilometre half marathon and a Kidney Beanz five kilometre fun run.

The race will start from Edenvale High School at 6am.

There will be plenty of entertainment on the day for the whole family, including market and food stalls.

The first 2 000 marathon and half marathon runners will each receive a t-shirt and there will be goodie bags for the first 3 000 runners to cross the line.

Runners are reminded that they need to have a Champion Chip.

Proceeds from the race will be distributed to a number of charities including Reach for a Dream and Little Eden.

Late entries will take place at Edenvale High School from March 7 to March 9.
