Resident thanks licencing department

Once at the tables, you have an eye test, your fingerprints taken and your photograph taken.

EDITOR – I would like express my thanks to the Edenvale Licencing Department.

Yesterday, January 30, my friend and I went to renew our driver’s licences.

At 12 noon the process was done with the utmost efficiency.

The staff, although over-worked, were pleasant and helpful. I would just like to mention that there was a gentleman who was agitated and said the process was taking “too long” and even complained to the supervisor.

To that gentleman, please bear in mind that you came on the second last day of the month at 12.30pm to renew your licence, yes it was busy, but the staff were doing their best.

They even split the queues into two, one for renewals and one for bookings.

Once at the tables, you have an eye test, your fingerprints taken and your photograph taken.

Yes it did take around 10 minutes per person, remember that there were not three queues, but only one for the whole process.

So thank you to Madeline Mthabela who assisted me at the table, she was friendly and efficient. Well done Edenvale Licencing Department, keep up the good work.

JANINE JACOBS,

EDENVALE.
