Bedfordview Country Club hosts Banyana Banyana
The newly-appointed Sasol Banyana Banyana head coach, Vera Pauw, lead the Senior Women's National Team for the first time since her appointment.
Banyana Banyana conducted a training session at the Bedfordview Country Club in preparation for the team’s international friendly match against Zimbabwe.
The match took place on April 12.
The newly-appointed Sasol Banyana Banyana head coach, Vera Pauw, lead the Senior Women’s National Team for the first time since her appointment.
Pauw has been in the country for less than a month and her mission is to rebuild a formidable Banyana team, turning them into a world class outfit.
Pauw became the first foreign Banyana coach in the team’s 21-year history and she is aiming to become the first coach to take the team to its first ever World Cup appearance next year.
Should Banyana Banyana beat the Comoros, they will secure a place in the African Woman’s Championships finals which take place in Namibia in October.
The top three countries will qualify for the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
