Toni performs well at the championships

Edenvale resident, Toni Jardine, recently headed to the Western Cape to take part in the next round of The National Off-Road Championship.

The Windsorton Off-Road National offered everything from fast open straights to tight and technical sections.

Slippery and dusty conditions did not slow Jardine down as she raced to the top step of the podium.

In the first of five loops, Jardine was stuck behind a few slower riders before she was able to make her move and pass them.

She managed to gain time on her rivals with each loop and finished with a seven minute lead to take the chequered flag.

Jardine now heads into some intensive training to prepare for the much-anticipated Namaqua African Rally, which takes from April 25 to May 3.
