Ricoh Pumas victorious against Anglo Gold Ashanti Lions

The fourth quarter of the match was the most tightly contested, with both teams showing the will to win.

The Ricoh Pumas won the Supersport Series Wheelchair Basketball (SSWB) semi-finals match 52-38, against the Anglo Gold Ashanti Lions.

The match took place at the Mandeville Indoor Sports Centre on Sunday, August 31.

Both teams struggled to find momentum in the opening minutes, with the second-placed Pumas leading by four points at half time.

The Pumas have only lost three games out of the 14 played in the series. They currently have 32 points, with the Tshwane Blade runners leading the log.

The third-placed Lions have won 10 of their 14 games, losing four and amassing 26 points.

Both teams failed to score any bonus points on the day.

In the Supersport Series, teams gain bonus points when they score 65 points or more.
