The U/19 Development Tournament, run by Bowls South Africa annually, recently took place in Bloemfontein.
Ekurhuleni was represented by several members from Edenvale Bowling Club.
This year the event consisted of four sections with eight teams.
A total of 128 youngsters participated in the event.
Three teams of four players represented Ekurhuleni Bowls, together with 28 others teams from across South Africa.
Section winners then played a semi-final and the winners contested the final.
Ekurhuleni A won its section and semi-final, but lost in the final to Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The Ekurhuleni B team finished third in its section, while the Ekurhuleni C team was placed fifth.
