Edenvale Football Club’s u-8s brought both victory and astonishment to this year’s soccer league.
The team came from humble beginnings, at the bottom of the log, but are now sitting third on the leader board.
On September 2, Edenvale faced off against Modderfontein at the Edenvale Sports Grounds, sealing another victory for the u-8 team.
The team beat Modderfontein 4-2.
Luleko Dlamini, coach for the team, said Edenvale players were excited when they won.
“The players did a victory walk around the field,” said Dlamini.
He said he is astonished to see where the team is compared to the beginning of the year.
Next on the cards for Edenvale’s u-8 team are the semi-finals later this month.
