The first Bez Valley Parkrun a success despite the rain
Rob Whitlock, the organiser of BezValley Parkrun, said he was pleased with the number of people who attended.
A large number of runners braved the rainy weather on January 27 to attend the first Bez Valley Parkrun.

“It is wonderful to see such a large turnout despite the rain,” said Ward 118 Clr Neuren Pietersen.
“This shows how addictive a healthy lifestyle is.

“Improvements have already been suggested by runners and City Parks will be compelled to comply with the added usage of our wonderful heritage that is Bezuidenhout Park.
“I look forward to seeing more people coming to join us every weekend.
“It will be a fantastic asset to our area,” said Pietersen.

“The rain caused some challenges at the beginning but in the end, everyone had a great time.
“We hope more people will join us every weekend,” said Whitlock.
