Bowls in Modderfontein

Modderfontein Bowls Club (MBC) hosted Saturday League matches for the second division on December 1.

Matches were played by Kempton Park’s Atlas Bowls Club, Brackenhurst Bowls Club from Alberton, Edenvale Bowls Club and Modderfontein.

Vice-president of the MBC, Phil Ryder, said competitors who played well on the day were Tommy Williams, skipper for Brackenhurst and Tony Davis and Mike Dixey from Modderfontein.

Modderfontein played against Brackenhurst and won 4-2 and Edenvale played against Altas and won 4-2.

Currently, Brackenhurst is first in the league and Modderfontein are second on the league.
