Edenvale swimmers compete in provincial competition
The academy's top performer was Bernelee Doster who was awarded one gold, two silver and three bronze medals for the 10 events she chose to swim.
Seven swimmers from ESP Piranhas competed in the Gauteng Schools and Aquatics Gauteng Schools Swimming Championship.
Held on the first weekend of March the swimmers made coaches at Aquatic Academy proud.
The academy’s top performer was Bernelee Doster who was awarded one gold, two silver and three bronze medals for the 10 events she chose to swim.

On top of the medals, Doster set eight new personal bests.
Following Doster’s achievements, Annebel Van Wyk and Mikayla Pon raced into second and third place respectfully in the 200m backstroke and were awarded silver and bronze medals.

Pon qualified to swim 12 events setting nine new personal bests while van Wyk swam 10 events and achieved four new personal bests.
Tambai Dutiro was the final medal winner for the academy winning a bronze medal in the 200m backstroke event.
On the day Dutiro swam four races and set one personal best.

Results from the academy’s other swimmers are as follows:
• Zimasa Ngqawana swam in three events and set two personal bests.
• Clayton Malaza swam in five events and achieved one new personal best.
• Oyama Malaza swam one race and finished the day off with one new personal best.
