BSI tennis player ranks worldwide

Grade 11 Balderstone Sports Institute (BSI) learner Dylan Salton continued his recent good form by claiming a double victory in an International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior event in Windhoek, Namibia.
Michael Balderstone, managing director at BSI, said he won both the singles and doubles titles at the tournament.
Balderstone added he completed his first ITF singles tournament win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over British player Charlie Penman in the final.
“He was in scintillating form throughout the event, only losing 14 games in the entire tournament, spread across five matches,” said Balderstone.
Dylan won the doubles title in partnership with Tatenda Mutetwa from Zimbabwe.
Both players train at the Real Athletes Tennis Academy in Bedfordview, run by former Davis Cup captain Earl Granger.
“Dylan is ranked number two in South Africa in the u-17 category, and 400th in the world junior u-19 rankings,” said Balderstone.
