Edenvale wins JvW School’s League for a third consecutive year

The finals saw the top Gauteng teams take to the field.

Edenvale High School’s u-15 girls soccer team took to the field and won the JvW School’s League final for the third year in a row.

Here is Edenvale High School’s u-15 girls soccer team who won the recent JvW School’s League final for the third year in a row.

Held over September 14 and 15 the finals saw the Gauteng teams, who topped their respective streams take to the field.

Leading up to the finals Edenvale was placed in a pool with Deutsche Schule Pretoria (DSP), Boksburg High School and Reddam House Bedfordview.

They moved to top of their pool after winning their games 6 – 0, 3 – 0 and 4 – 0 respectively.

September 15 started with a tough quarter-final against Curro Aurora but Edenvale proved themselves once again and won the game 4 – 1.

The semi-final match was played against The Oprah Winfrey School (OWLAG) but saw Edenvale come out on top, sealing a place in the final with a 5 – 2 win.

In the finals Edenvale faced off against Rand Girls’ High School and won with a final score of 3 – 0.

Taylor-Ann Berkovic (Edenvale’s captain) received the player of the match for the final game.
