Premier team to the championships
Gareth Oliver won Man of the Match for his awesome game.
Jeppe Quondam Cricket Club recently won the playoff against Impala Cricket Club at Witrand, Potch by 76 runs on November 24.
Prior to that, Jeppe’s Premier team won the CGL Black Widow T20 competition on Saturday night, November 16.
Jeppe Quondam Cricket Club secretary Lauren Borchers said they played against G&M Old Edwardian Cricket Club at Imperial Wanderers Stadium and won by 11 runs.
“They are one of our biggest rivals, so it was an awesome win,” said Borchers.
Jeppe batted first and posted 148/ 9 in 20 overs.
Old Eds came in to bat and posted 137/8 in their 20 overs.
“Some brilliant performances with the bat came from Matthew Smit who made 51 of 44 balls and Gareth Oliver who made 30 of 26 balls.”
Great performances with the ball came from Gareth Oliver with 12/2 in four overs and Calvin Johnson with 18/3 in four overs.

Jeppe will be representing the Lions Franchise at the National Multiply T20 championship in Pretoria from December 6 to 8.
