MX racer secures two championship victories

Looking to the future, Osner hopes to step out onto the national circuit and move into the pro mini 85cc class.

Edenglen resident and motocross racer Blake Osner is on the fast track to building a reputation with his two most recent wins.

The Edenglen Primary School learner won the last Inland MX Championship race held at Dirt Bronco motocross track on October 3.

He then went on to win the Northern Interprovincial Championship held at Terra Topia motocross track on November 21.

A proud Osner said going into the inland championship’s last race he was leading the event by 100 points.

“I was happy that all the hard work I put in paid off to win the championship.”

At the interprovincial championship, he only needed 10 points in the last race to secure overall victory.

After obtaining his points, Osner was able to compete in the second heat with the championship under his belt.

Osner said overall 2020 was a good year for him.

He thanked his parents, his sponsors and God for everything and for keeping him safe.

Looking to the future, Osner hopes to step out onto the national circuit and move into the pro mini 85cc class.

He said his parents are in talks and negotiations about sending him overseas to participate in European racing.
