Swimmers scoop 25 medals

25 medals were won by local swimmers.

The St Andrew’s Dragons Swimming Club shone at a swimming event held at Kings Park Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal.

The event ran from October 3 to 11 and was hosted by Chad le Clos’ club, Seagulls.

The local club was ranked number four out of the 47 clubs from around the country.

The swimmers, who hail from Bedfordview, Edenvale and the Joburg East areas, excelled while competing against the best swimmers in South Africa.

25 medals were won by local swimmers.

The medal tally included three gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals.

The swimmers who obtained medals were:

  •  Erin Anderson with one gold, one silver and two bronze.
  •  Brenden Crawford with one gold, two silver and one bronze.
  •  Ryno Grove with one silver.
  •  Dylan Clark won one silver.
  •  Seonaid Leech took one bronze.
  •  Caitlin Lewington took one bronze.
  •  Mitchel Sinclair obtained one silver and two bronze.
  •  Andrew Smith took two silver and two bronze.
  •  Jayden Trollope won one silver.
  •  Ianthe van der Westhuizen won one bronze.
  •  Anandt Van Rensburg won one gold, one silver and two bronze.
  •  Kevin Yao took one silver medal.
