Jeppe High School for Boys elite athletes perform well at the Gauteng Secondary Schools Athletics Championships

Twelve Jeppe High School for Boys elite athletes competed in the Gauteng Secondary Schools Athletics Championships at Germiston Stadium.

Most of the Jeppe athletes went through to the semi-finals of their respective events, with three of them qualifying to compete in the South African Secondary Schools Championships in Durban on 30 and 31 March.

Mzwakhe Mashaba came first in the U15 boys’ 3 000m in a new record time of 09.07.88, and also came third in the U15 boys’ 1 500m.

Ntuthuko Ndimande won the U17 boys’ 800m in a new record time of 01.52.39, and Lesedi Moloto came second in the U15 boys’ long jump with a leap of 6.47m.
