Cirque Éloize’s iD to debut at Monte
Cirque Éloize’s iD, a thrilling spectacle of circus arts and urban dance, heads for Montecasino next year.
Directed by Jeannot Painchaud, iD is a production that blends acrobatics, street dance and hip hop.
The show opens at the Teatro at Montecasino on August 14, 2014.
Set in an inner-city environment, iD explores the themes of identity, individuality and autonomy in a culture where universal images cause us to lose our reference points, making us express the same values by way of different codes.
iD features a cast of 15 acrobats and performers and incorporates innovative multimedia elements, with a rock- and electronica-inspired soundtrack created by composers Jean-Phi Goncalves and Alex McMahon.
The show is in South Africa by Hazel Feldman’s Showtime Management.
Tickets are on sale and there is a special 20 percent early-bird discount on the show’s top two price categories that are only valid until January 31.
Book at Computicket.
