See Seussical Jr at the theatre
The children’s production, Seussical Jr, is currently being staged at the National Children’s Theatre in Parktown.
The show features the Cat in the Hat, Horton the elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, and Mayzie La Bird.
Horton finds himself having to protect his tiny friend, JoJo the Who and all the other Whos of Whoville.
He also takes care of an abandoned egg left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie LaBird, while she takes a vacation.
Hunters capture Horton and the egg and take them to the traveling circus.
The show is directed and staged by Francois Theron, with musical supervision by Rowan Bakker, choreography by Genna Galloway, costume design by Sarah Roberts, set design by Stan Knight and lighting by Jane Gosnell.
Shows take place until December 22. The National Children’s Theatre is located at 3 Junction Avenue in Parktown.
