Food festival to be hosted in May

The Eden Mall parking area will be transformed into a wonderland of colour and delicious smells.

The Edenvale City Improvement District (ECID) announced that the ECID Flavours of the World 2016 Festival will take place in May.

The festival will be held on the first Sunday of May, from 11am to 8pm, at the Eden Mall parking area which will be “transformed into a wonderland of colour and delicious smells”.

A variety of entertainment has been lined up, including Highland, Irish and Greek dancing, as well as music courtesy of Eden Community Radio on the Coca-Cola stage. The amazing Bambanani brass band and must-see three-piece cover band, Mustang with their electric violin, will also be there.

Festival goers can expect a variety of foods stalls, serving flavours from around the world to tantalise your palate.

There will also be a great children’s area with jumping castles and activities for the little ones, and Werner the magician will amaze with a couple of magic shows.

Take a stroll through the stunning craft market, fashion and deli stalls. Over 18s can enjoy the beer garden and do some wine tasting.

Entrance is free, so bring your family and friends for a day to remember.
