Parkrand beauty crowned Miss Teen Universe South Africa 2023
Malwandla feels grateful for her achievement.
Parkrand’s Malwandla Sithole did Boksburg proud by bringing home the Miss Teen Universe South Africa 2023 crown.
The 17-year-old Boksburg High School learner was announced as the winner of the pageant at Sibaya Casino in Durban on March 12.
Malwandla said she was overwhelmed, excited and grateful for this achievement.
“I entered the competition because I want to help young girls build their confidence. Social media influences us and, as a result, we lose confidence in who we are.
“I want to help put a stop to that and give them hope because I want young girls to see a reflection of themselves in me,” said the beauty queen.
As Miss Teen Universe South Africa, she would like to inspire other women.
Malwandla believes hard work is the secret to her success.
“You should always work hard and believe in yourself. I juggle everything. I focus on schoolwork during the week and projects during the weekends. My schedule is extremely busy, but I relax by spending time with my family,” she added.
The newly crowned Miss Teen Universe will represent South Africa in America later this year.

Her dream is to become Miss South Africa one day. She admires Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi and Miss South Africa 2022 Ndavi Nokeri.
Heart of gold
Not only is Malwandla beautiful on the outside, but she also helps others where she can.
As Miss Teen Universe, Malwandla will be involved with charity work. She is also an advocate for youth empowerment and will focus on domestic violence and teenage pregnancy.
She is collecting pre-loved clothes for underprivileged people in areas such as informal settlements.
