Sustainable recovery from addiction is achievable. Restoration to rightful potential is a reality!
Addiction is a physical, psychological and spiritual malady, where substance abuse is only one outward symptom of a far more complex behavioural problem. Simply removing an individual’s drug of choice is not likely to result in sustainable recovery. South Coast Recovery Centre is equipped with a multi-disciplinary team with over 320 collective years of experience in addiction. Comprehensive, individualised rehabilitation programmes are available to accommodate a variety of circumstances. To find out more, visit our website, or contact us today. We can help.
Elim Clinic – Diffuses myths about rehab and addiction
With 15% of the population recorded as substance dependant, South Africa is fast approaching crisis mode. In response to this, the government and the public sectors have steadily begun to invest their resources in assisting with creating awareness around substance abuse. Partnerships amongst various stakeholders are also on the rise as the war against addiction can longer be fought in silos but as a collective.
Elim Clinic therefore invited various members of the public and private sectors to a workshop to provide insight into the treatment process of their patients.
The three hour workshop was well organised from the reception at the gate and building, registration through to the actual venue where the presentation was held. Susan van Niekerk – the clinical manager extended a welcome to all in attendance. Lena Ngombane (Therapist) presented on the treatment programme; Florence Phiriga (Nursing sister) on the medical part of treatment; Amanda Richter (Pastoral counsellor) on the pastoral services and Marinda Stegmann (Admin manager) on booking for treatment. After a very well-orchestrated presentation, attendees were taken on a tour of the Clinic’s facilities.
With 59 years of expertise in addiction treatment, there is no doubt that Elim Clinic is a pioneer in this field. The Clinic’s vision is to restore quality of life with a holistic approach during their three-week programme and their treatment programme is on par with the demands of the ever-changing landscape of addiction.
Elim Clinic is situated at 133 Plane Road, Spartan, Kempton Park and can be contacted on 011 975 2951 or via email at info@elimclin.co.za. For more information about the Clinic and the programme log onto www.elimclin.co.za.
