Drain your lymphatic system with cupping
Cupping is a modern form of vacuum therapy which is used to alleviate sinus problem, the releasing of nerve pinches, lymphatic drainage and more.
According to Lorraine Claassens, from Natural Wellness Healing Clinic, one of the bodily systems affected by over acidity is the lymphatic system.
“The suction created by cupping pulls the stagnant fluids to the surface, removes the toxic pathogens and promotes fresh oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood and lymph,” she says.
Lorraine adds that removing toxins from your body is essential for maintaining good health.
She says that it is very important for people to have their lymphatic system drained.
“A lymphatic system drainage massage primarily focuses on specific lymph nodes and points of the body as well as the natural flow of the lymphatic system,” Lorraine says.
Lymphatic drainage works to clear blockages in your lymphatic system so that it can flow smoothly. It also helps one feel and look better and recover more quickly after an operation.
“The suction of the cups rapidly facilitates rigid soft tissue release by stretching it up from underlying structures, loosening areas of adhesion or restriction.”
Benefits of lymphatic drainage include:
* Deep tissue work and release without the discomfort.
* Moves stagnation and drains fluid.
* Relieves inflammation.
* Nervous system sedation.
* Breaks up and expels congestion.
* Stretches muscle and connective tissue.
* Loosens adhesions.
* Pulls blood supply to the skin.
* Dispels wind, damp and cold to treat muscle and joint pain, stiffness and arthritis.
* Strengthens the immune system by promoting the flow of lymphatic fluid.
* Treats excess heat conditions, fever, stress, depression and anxiety.
* Cleans the blood and lymph and helps to balance PH levels.
Massage cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction device on the skin.
“A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and, depending on the types of cups being used, a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup,” says Lorraine.
She adds that the produced vacuum creates a suction effect that increases blood and lymphatic circulation systemically and to the local area, relaxes muscles tissue and support, draws stagnation, pathogenic factors and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors.
Cupping is safe for most people to use, from newborn babies to older people.
It should not be used on people who take blood thinners such as Warfarin.
