Gauteng Open 2026 set to showcase elite bowls talent

Throw your weight behind the province’s most prestigious lawn bowls tournie.

It’s time. The prestigious Perfect Delivery Gauteng Open 2026, hosted by the Ekurhuleni Bowls District, is set to bring together the province’s top lawn bowls talent in what is regarded as Gauteng’s premier bowls spectacle.

With participation expected from leading players and clubs across the province, the open continues to grow into one of the most respected and professionally presented events on the bowls calendar.

President of Gauteng Bowls, Sanette Kritzinger, described the tournament as a flagship event for the province.

“This is the most exclusive and prestigious bowls event. As the largest event in the province and showcases the very best talent our bowlers have to offer,” she said.

“The 2026 edition promises fierce competition as last year’s men’s and ladies’ champions return to defend their titles against a strong field of challengers.”

Matches will be hosted across a number of clubs, including:

• Delville Bowls Club
• Benoni Bowls Club
• Brackenhurst Bowls Club
• Northmead Bowls Club, as well as additional participating venues across the district

The event will feature world-class bowls action, livestream coverage, player interviews, club showcases, media coverage and sponsor integration, as Gauteng Bowls continues to modernise and elevate the sport within the province.

“As flagship sponsors, Perfect Delivery Insurance Brokers will assist in strengthening and growing premier bowls events within Gauteng,” said Kritzinger.

“The tournament promises to be a celebration of excellence, competition and provincial pride.”
