Foundation wants to extend its reach to the needy
Originally dedicated to delivering basic food assistance, the foundation's mission has grown to encompass education and empowerment.

The All Caring (AC) Guardian Foundation NPC, based in Bartlett, assisted the vulnerable since 2018.
Cerina Storm (director of financial and training) explained they recognised the growing need for support and were motivated by the belief that ‘evil reigns supreme if good men stand and watch and do nothing’.
“We saw the helplessness around us and knew we had to act. The need was too great to ignore,” she said.
Initially focused on providing essential food aid, the foundation’s mission has since expanded to include education and empowerment.
The organisation believes in the wisdom of the Japanese proverb ‘give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime’.
“While feeding people is important, we believe in helping them build a better future through education and skills development. It is not just about meeting immediate needs but about creating long-term solutions.”
Key projects and initiatives
The foundation runs several impactful projects aimed at addressing both short-term and long-term needs within the community.
Notable initiatives include:
Gifts for the elderly: In collaboration with organisations like Cohen House, House van Rensburg, and Ons te Huis in Pretoria, they distributed 129 gift parcels to elderly individuals in need.
Blessing soup and blanket project: They handed 1 850 servings of soup and blankets to those struggling during difficult times.
Christmas Care Packages: During the holiday season, they distributed 1 590 buckets filled with sweets, chips, and cold drinks to organisations such as The Teddy Bear Clinic, Geloof, Hoop en Liefde NPC, and various children’s homes in the area.
“We are committed to offering a holistic approach, helping people not just with food and clothing, but by empowering them through education and training. This is the way forward,” said Storm.
Plans and needs
Looking ahead, the foundation is seeking a piece of land to help create sustainable food sources.
Storm explains, “If we can grow vegetables, it will provide food and create employment opportunities for community members. We need a piece of land to make this a reality.”
The foundation continues to rely on donations, whether food, funds, or land, to support and expand its initiatives.
Storm emphasises, “We can only do this with the help of our community. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.”
