Win A Home has arrived at Eye of Africa – and viewers should not miss out!
July 2016 – Win A Home on Afternoon Express is back! This year, viewers stand a chance of winning the ultimate prize: a multi-million rand three-bedroom, two-bathroom cluster home in the Eye of Africa Golf and Residential Estate.
The scenic estate is situated 17km from the city centre, a short distance from amenities like the Mall of the South, local schools, hospitals and major routes. It boasts a signature Greg Norman-design championship golf course, two dining options, a resort swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gym and breathtaking surrounds. The natural landscape, with its rolling hills, sets the mood for relaxation and unwinding. The natural rock formations amid the Highveld, with panoramic views extending north to Johannesburg and the Sandton CBD, offers homeowners an enchanting escape from the urban noise.
Eye of Africa offers a selection of stands with different vantage points where homeowners can design their own luxury homes. For those who prefer not to build, or want to take immediate occupation, the Eye of Africa’s cluster developments offer professionals, young families or empty nesters the ideal home.
The latest residential offering is Stone Quarter, offering free standing, full title cluster homes. This is where the Win a Home design contestants will be adding their creative flair, and where SABC 3’s Afternoon Express viewers can stand to win a home of their own to the value of R3 million.
Popular Afternoon Express presenter, Danilo Acquisto will be returning to host another exciting season of the show.
“It is such a privilege for me to be able to say that I get to give away the biggest prize on South African TV and more importantly to change lives forever in such a tangible way. I am just as excited to be in what could be my favourite city, Johannesburg for this season and at the incredible Eye of Africa Golf and Residential Estate. The staff have all been amazing, I have received direct messages from residents who are SO excited to have us there and combined with the surroundings, I think I have already called Eye of Africa home and may just never want to leave. This season is honestly going to be the best and biggest yet and the contestant teams are really going to have to step up their game.”

It’s a mad rush for the design duos to complete their first space; the guest bedroom. Who will be the winning duo for this first challenge and get their hands on a useful reward?
Catch Win A Home at the Eye of Africa this coming Friday 4pm on SABC3 Afternoon Express.
As an exciting innovation, season four’s competitors are design duos. This means double the reality, double the drama and double the fun! The competing designers will be mentored by editors from three of South Africa’s leading home decor magazines: Tiaan Nagel of House and Leisure, Annemarie Meintjes from VISI and Amanda Graham from Habitat Magazine.
The design contestant duos will be vying for two prizes. The first is the Judges Choice Prize, where the panel of expert judges decides on a winning design duo who will receive a R100 000 cash prize. In addition, Win a Home viewers will once again be able to have their say by voting for their favourite design couple. The team with the most votes accumulated at the end of the competition will win R20 000. This means that if they win the judges’ and viewers’ vote, one design duo could win both prizes – a total of R120 000!
There is no doubt that Win A Home has changed lives: from accelerating the careers of previous design contestants including Donald Nxumalo of DNX Interiors, inaugural design winner whose career catapulted as a result of the exposure, to the winning viewers who have walked away as homeowners. Last year’s season saw Bloemfontein student, Palesa Moisi, walk away with a brand new home in the Cape winelands.
Win A Home will air on Fridays on SABC 3 Afternoon Express between 16h00 and 17h00, starting Friday 21 July. Viewers can tune in weekly to enter the competition and stand a chance to win this life-changing prize. The winning viewer will also be able to select their favourite home out of the three homes completed by the contestants. The reality series competition is again proudly sponsored by Private Property. Contestants will also have the best products available at their fingertips. Plascon will be adding a splash of colour to the competition homes, and Caesarstone will supply their luxury engineered quartz surfaces.
