Man is jailed for business breaking

A 27-year-old man was found guilty and sentenced to three years imprisonment after he broke into a business along Station Road, on January 5, this year.

The business’s alarm was activated and the security company responded to it.

On arrival, the security officer found that the burglar bars had been forced open and that someone was inside the premises.

He arrested the suspect and handed him over to the Brakpan police, who arrived at the scene a few minutes later.

The accused was charged with housebreaking, with intent to commit a crime unknown to the prosecutor.

Tshepo Maseko was found guilty on April 13 and sentenced to three years imprisonment when he appeared in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court.
