Domestic workers invited to join forum

“Most of the households in the town have a domestic worker employed, and these people can be very valuable when it comes to being the eyes and the ears of the SAPD,” said Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander.

“If we can get such a forum off the ground we will meet on a regular basis to exchange ideas and information.”

“The SAPS will also be able to inform the forum members about crime in specific areas and for what to be on the lookout,” added Joubert.

He also gave the assurance that the meetings will be held in the evenings and will, therefore, not interfere with the working hours of domestic workers.
