Brakpan resident pockets R200 000
Ivan Moodley, a resident from Brakpan, representing Carnival City, recently took third place at the grand finale of Sun International’s nationwide slots tournament, SunSlots, at Sun City, winning himself R200 000 in cash.
“The grand finale of SunSlots was an exciting culmination of weeks of exciting competition, as the 90 finalists competed for the top positions,” said Michelle Smith, the marketing manager at Carnival City.
“We are delighted that one of our own customers came in the top three of the competition. We extend heartfelt congratulations to our winner and we would also like to thank all our local participants for making SunSlots so successful.”
SunSlots, one of Sun International’s biggest-ever national slots tournaments, boasted a potential prize bounty of R5-million.
Preliminary rounds took place at Sun International casinos across South Africa since March 2015, culminating in the unit finals on May 3.
The SunSlots national final saw 90 finalists, representing 11 Sun International casinos across South Africa, competing for a share of the massive prize bounty.
