New chairman for EBA

Ramatiane Seepe was recently elected as the new chairman of the Ekurhuleni Business Association (EBA).

Thabang Hlanyane was elected as the vice-chairman, during the annual general meeting of the association, which was held recently.

Seepe is also chairman of the East Rand Industrialists’ Association (ERIN), based in Kempton Park, and Hlanyane is the chairman of the recently formed Ekurhuleni Black Business Chamber of Commerce and Industry, situated in Nigel.

The EBA was formed more than 14 years ago, at the time of the formation of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, as an association of the chambers and associations of business within the municipal boundaries.

It is the recognised voice of business in dealings with the municipality.

The objective of the EBA is to represent industry and commerce with the municipality, to ensure that the required service delivery by the municipality is maintained in terms of the requirements for ensuring continued business infrastructure.
