Body found with gunshot wound to the head

The body was sighted by community members who alerted the EMPD.

The deceased, estimated to be in his early forties and neatly dressed, appeared to have been killed execution-style.

Members of the community informed the police that they did hear a shot the previous evening around 7pm, during load shedding. No form of identity was found on the body.

A case of murder was opened at Brakpan police station. Investigations are underway to identify the dead man and a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the person or persons responsible for the murder.

Any person whose family member is in his forties and missing is advised to contact the Brakpan police station.
