Medicross Carnival Mall opens officially
The Medicross Carnival Mall family medical and dental centre celebrated its official opening on Thursday, last week.
Speaking at the opening, Dr Charmaine Pailman, managing director of Netcare’s Primary Care Division, which manages the Medicross centres, noted that the new facility will provide the community of Brakpan and the surrounding areas with accessible and convenient primary healthcare services under one roof.
According to Dr Pailman, the provision of quality care, convenience and accessibility for families to receive medical, dental, pharmaceutical and allied health services, such as X-rays, physiotherapy and audiology, among others, has long been the recipe behind the success of Medicross.
“At present we attend to the healthcare needs of families countrywide, providing services to over three million patients annually, through our existing network of more than 70 family medical and dental centres,” she said.
”In keeping with the Medicross convention, Medicross Carnival Mall is an accessible, modern facility with several healthcare services on site.”
There are three general practitioners, three dentists, a physiotherapist, an audiologist and psychologist working from Medicross Carnival Mall.
Other specialised services include pathology, while plans are underway for the opening of a pharmacy and the inclusion of a radiology service.
