DA lends a hand to seniors
On Thursday, August 13, Clr Gary Scallan and members of the Democratic Alliance visited Geluksdal Old Age Home to celebrate Women’s Day.
The DA handed over four sewing machines and bags of material and sewing necessities to the women of the Ubuntu Luncheon Club, who gather on a weekly basis at the Geluksdal Old Age Home to participate in sewing and knitting classes.
The members approached the DA and asked if they could assist in improving the facilities for the elderly at Geluksdal Old Age Home, as the home is a non-profit organisation and healthcare centre caring for the elderly in the township.
