Seven housebreakings reported this weekend

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan Police over the weekend:

Friday

At the corner of Station Street and Voortrekker Road, at about 12.50pm, a female motorist’s passenger side window was broken by a thief who stole a handbag.

A housebreaking occurred in Pythian Street, Sherwood Gardens. A TV was stolen.

In Boundary Road a vehicle’s battery, plugs, cables and distributor were stolen.

A housebreaking occurred in Prince George Avenue, Brenthurst. Jewellery and a cellphone were stolen.

A vehicle’s two front wheels were stolen in Blyde Avenue, Leachville.

At the corner of Lemmer and Denne roads, Vulcania, at about 10.30pm, a husband and wife were confronted by an armed robber that attempted to steal the woman’s handbag, but ran away after seeing a police vehicle.

A housebreaking occurred in Northdene Avenue. Jewellery, a watch and two TVs were stolen.

In Grant Street, Sherwood Gardens, a house was broken into. Shoes, clothes and a drill machine were stolen.

A housebreaking occurred at the corner of Porter Avenue and Gordon Street. A TV, jewellery and cellphones were stolen.

Saturday

A business situated in Gladstone Avenue was broken into and a printer stolen.

A vehicle parked in Edward Wallace Street, Huntingdon, was stolen.

A pedestrian walking along Hastings Avenue was confronted by robbers who stole her cellphone.

A housebreaking occurred in Escombe Avenue. A laptop, camera, printer, watches, jewellery and a cellphone were stolen.

A vehicle parked in Norfolk Street, Dalview, was stolen.

A motorist was confronted by armed robbers who fired shots at him, at the corner of Prince George Avenue and Olympia Road, Brenthurst, after the motorist sped off.

Sunday

A housebreaking occurred in Wordsworth Street, Dalpark. A TV and a X-Box were stolen.

Four tyres were stolen from a truck parked in Tinder Street, Brenthurst.
