Weekend crime round-up

A gang of robbers terrorised a domestic worker at her employer's house.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A car parked at an address along Queen Avenue was broken into.

The vehicle’s radio and an amplifier were stolen.

Two burglaries were reported.

These took place along Trollip Street, in Brenthurst, and Jones Avenue.

A stove was stolen from the vacant property in Jones Avenue, while a laptop and cellphone were stolen from the house in Trollip Street.

• Saturday – A blue Toyota Corolla was stolen from the corner of Voortrekker Road and Wanderers Street.

Two television sets, two laptops and a games console were stolen during a burglary at a home along West Road, in Sonneveld.

A break-in was reported at a home along Ash Street, in Minnebron.

A television set, a home theatre system, laptop and three wristwatches were stolen.

• Sunday – Fishing rods and gas bottles were stolen from a property along Derby Avenue.
