Awareness campaign empowers Mkhankwa residents

Residents were informed on a variety of issues.

An awareness campaign was recently conducted in the Mkhankwa Village informal settlement.

The campaign was presented by representatives from the Local Drug Action Committee, the SAPS, Boksburg Correctional Services, EMPD, the Department of Home Affairs, the Brakpan SAPS Youth Desk and several other local organisations and government departments.

The aim of the event was to empower community members, and the residents were informed on a variety of issues, including human rights and how to apply for a protection order.
