House robbery:
• Four men confronted a Dalpark Extension Six woman at gunpoint as she arrived home with her young child, last night (Wednesday).
The victim was pulling into her Dikbas Street property at 7.50pm, when she saw three men running towards her car.
They instructed her to get out of the vehicle, but she protested and wanted her child.
She was told to keep quiet and one of the robbers took her child out of the car.
They pushed the victim towards the house and questioned her about when her husband would be home, whether the home had a security system and whether her car had a tracking device.
They then accused her of stalling for time when she battled to unlock the front door and took the keys from her.
The alarm was triggered when they entered the main bedroom and a fourth man, who was keeping watch outside the house, shouted at his accomplices to hurry.
They took a TV and ran from the house.
The woman’s car – make and model not provided – was also stolen.
Valuables inside the car included a purse with cash and ID documents, a bag with children’s clothes, tools and a cellphone.
Armed robbery:
• A man was robbed of his cellphone and cash in Dalview on Monday.
The incident took place at around 3.30pm at an ATM along Van der Walt Road.
Three men surrounded the victim as he was withdrawing money and threatened him with a sharp object.
One of the robbers took the victim’s money as it was dispensed from the machine.
They demanded the victim’s cellphone, which he handed over, and the trio fled on foot.
Common robbery:
• The owner of a guesthouse in Brakpan North was attacked and robbed yesterday.
A man who arrived at the Pfuhl Street property earlier that morning entered the victim’s private room at about 11.45am and grabbed his cellphone.
He struck the victim with a rock and then took a key and ran off.
The victim ran outside and sought help from a patrolling police car.
Officers gave chase and apprehended the suspect.
The victim’s belongings were returned.
Burglary:
• Punda Maria Street, in Leachville.
The break-in took place yesterday.
Stolen: A braai stand was taken from the garage on the property.
• Hoy Avenue.
The home was burgled yesterday.
Stolen: A laptop, TV and jewellery.
Attempted burglary:
• An attempt was made to break into a house along Kinaboom Avenue, in Leachville, on Tuesday.
The home’s alarm system was triggered at around 4am and the homeowners found a window had been forced open.
Theft from a motor vehicle:
• A spare-wheel was stolen from a vehicle parked at an address along Bloomberg Street, in Minnebron, on Sunday.
