The EMPD K9 Unit received information on Saturday about a suspected drug dealer plying his trade in the Brakpan Central Business District.
The information was acted upon and the members went to an address along Kingsway Avenue at around midday where a foreign national was found in possession of Cat, dagga and crystal methamphetamine valued at R3 000.
“The arrested suspect, who is in his early 30s, was detained at the Brakpan Police Station on charges of possession of illicit substances,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.
He is expected to appear in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court today (Monday).
