Mayor to lead Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme in Brakpan today

The delegation will also visit the hyacinth-infested Brakpan Dam.

Ekurhuleni mayor Clr Mzwandile Masina will lead the Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme in Brakpan today (Friday).

Masina will, among other activities,  lead a team of city officials to fix street lights in Brakpan and fix potholes and grade pathways in Leachville.

The delegation will also visit the hyacinth-infested Brakpan Dam.

The Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme will be kick-started with the mayor signing a settlement agreement with Michael Biribauer who lodged a complaint with the South African Human Right Commission against Masina for remarks that were made at the Chris Hani Memorial event last year.

The programme will end with a visit to the OR Tambo precinct in Wattville, Benoni.

During Siyaqhuba visits, the mayor together with the city’s senior officials, ensures that service delivery issues identified or raised by the community are attended to on-the -spot or within a reasonable amount of time.
