Hijacking:
• The driver of a black Mercedes Benz was hijacked along the N17 highway near Dalpark yesterday evening (Wednesday).
The victim, who was en route to Johannesburg at around 6pm, was forced to stop when the vehicle in front of him suddenly came to a halt.
A second vehicle stopped behind him and he was confronted by armed men.
The victim was forced into the backseat of his car and the hijackers drove off with him.
He was robbed of two cellphones, two jackets, a wristwatch and some cash.
The hijackers demanded the pin numbers for his bank cards and drove the victim to an ATM where they withdrew money from his accounts.
He was let go along Heildelberg Road, where he was picked up and driven to the Tsakane Police Station by a good Samaritan.

Rape:
• A woman was raped in Vulcania during the early hours of yesterday morning.
The victim and her boyfriend were travelling along 13th Road at around 3am when their car hit an obstruction in the road and they were forced to stop.
A man armed with a gun confronted them and instructed the woman to get out of the car.
Her boyfriend was told to lie on the ground.
The gunman dragged the woman to the veld and raped her.
He robbed the couple of a cellphone, some cash, a leather bag and a bank card before fleeing.
Burglary:
• Denne Road, Vulcania (business).
The break in took place on Tuesday.
Stolen: Packaging supplies.
• Gardiner Avenue.
The burglary occurred on Tuesday.
Stolen: Two motorbikes (a white Bashan 250 and a black Suzuki).
• Pine Avenue, Leachville.
The home was broken into on Tuesday.
Stolen: A TV, amplifier, jewellery and a blanket.
Theft of motor vehicle:
• A white Toyota Dyna truck was stolen from an address along Porter Avenue on Tuesday.
Theft out of/from motor vehicle:
• A vehicle parked along Hendrik Potgieter Road in Dalview was broken into yesterday. A large sum of cash was stolen.
