Networking event focuses on health

"We decided to change our lifestyle and noticed the difference, and decided to reach out to others."

Entrepreneurs from within the Brakpan community recently gathered at Hirsch’s Carnival for its monthly Business Networking event.

The guest speaker was Rene Venter.

“After running a successful wedding venue for 21 years we neglected a very important aspect in our life and that was our health,” said Venter.

“We decided to change our lifestyle as a family and noticed the difference, and decided to reach out to others.

“We started a wellness centre at our venue four years ago and reached out to the community and to businesses who wanted to assist employees with a healthy body and mind.

“Our  personal goal is to lead a healthy lifestyle, maintain our weight and to increase our fitness level, and to educate as many people as possible about good nutrition and to train and empower as many coaches as possible to duplicate our efforts.”

After Rene’s talk,  networkers were given the opportunity to present themselves and their businesses.
