The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 27 to 28):

Cases reported:

• Theft: 3
• Armed robbery: 1

Arrests:

• Theft: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1

Armed robbery:

• A man was robbed at gunpoint in Dalview yesterday (Monday).

The victim made a cash withdrawal at a bank in Mall@Carnival at around 11.40am and then drove to an address along Reitz Street.

As he parked, two men approached and ordered him out of the vehicle.

One of the men was armed with a gun and demanded the envelope containing the money.

The robbers made off with the cash, a cellphone and a gold necklace.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A grey Volkswagen (model not provided) was stolen from the corner of Paul Kruger Avenue and Reitz Street in Dalview yesterday.

Burglary:

• Hastings Avenue.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A lawnmower.
