Confident Tarryn aims for the sky
"When I win, I will use my title as an ambassador to become an influence and a role model for other people my age."
The confident Tarryn Naidoo, a learner from Jacobs Well School in Benoni, has been announced as an SA Teen Ambassador top 100 semi-finalist.
SA Teen Ambassador is a new pageant and a female empowerment programme for young women, which aims to celebrate teenagers who aspire to be the best version of themselves, inspire their fellow teenagers and ultimately mould the youth who are the future of our country.
The aim is to also inject an entrepreneurial skill for young girls to follow their dreams and become voices of change.
The 15-year-old from Dalpark Extension Six believes she has what it takes to win this prestigious title.
“When I win, I will use my title as an ambassador to become an influence and a role model for other people my age,” the local beauty said.
Naidoo has previous modelling experience and modelled from the age of four to 11.
“I entered this competition to make a comeback into the modelling industry, and also to use this platform to inspire other teenagers to go for what they want,” she added.
There is more to Tarryn than just a pretty face – her life revolves around books and she is penning her own online book.

The bright youngster also has some wise words for the youth of today.
“As teenagers, we have every right to behave like a child and make childish decisions, but we also need to understand that this is the last chance we have to mould ourselves to be successful and happy in the future.”
Only 25 contestants will be selected to go through to the finals.
