Dalpark Primary Grade R learner wins with finance speech

The local Grade R learner made her school proud with remarkable achievements in a financial speech competition.

Dalpark Primary School is incredibly proud of Elya Louw, a Grade R learner who recently took top honours in a finance speech competition.

“Her journey began at cluster level, where she progressed through the various stages, showcasing her talent, confidence and determination,” said Rentia-Mari Esterhuizen from the school.

At the provincial level of the Grade R Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) 2026 Financial Literacy Speech Competition, Elya placed second, earning her a spot to speak at the national level, where she placed first.

“Her achievement is a testament to her hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. Elya has made her school, teachers, family and community extremely proud,” Esterhuizen continued.
